The retreat into one’s own home is emblematic for the radically reduced social life during the pandemic. In consequence, the use of established streaming services hit an all-time high.

Theatres worldwide took the cue and expanded their digital offerings.

HEIMKINO (Home Cinema) channels this lockdown life of social restrictions by inviting the visitors to take a seat in our ‘living-room’ and watch a series of video documentaries on Berlin theatre projects, filmed during spring and summer 2021.
